Police are seeking a man who robbed a bank in downtown San Francisco on Friday afternoon. The robbery was reported at 12:41 p.m. Friday in the first block of Post Street. The suspect, a man believed to be in his mid 30s, walked into the bank, set a backpack on the counter and told an employee that he was armed and demanding money, according to police.
The employee put an undisclosed amount of cash into the backpack, which the suspect took and then fled from the bank on foot, police said. No weapon was seen during the robbery and no one was injured in the bank, according to police.The suspect had not been found as of this morning.
