* Parolee Home Search Oakland Police Allegedly Recover Illegal Weapons and Drugs

Oakland Gang Intelligence Task Force officers recovered firearms,ammunition and drugs this week in a search of a parolee’s home near Fremont High School, according to police. Police conducted the search of a home on the 2000 block of 47th Avenue on Thursday after receiving a tip about a felon in possession of an assault weapon.

The search uncovered five illegally possessed firearms, including an assault weapon and semi-automatic pistols, as well as ammunition. Police also found narcotics including cocaine, MDMA and marijuana. The suspect’s parole has been revoked, and he has been taken into custody, police said.
