A 29-year-old woman was kidnapped at gunpoint and sexually assaulted in her car in Oakland on Sunday, police said. The victim was sitting in her car in the 2000 block of Sunnyside Avenue talking to a male friend who was standing outside the vehicle at about 5:40 a.m., according to Oakland police. The suspect, a black man in his 20s armed with a handgun, walked
up and robbed the man standing outside the car, police said.

The suspect then got into the woman’s car and ordered her to drive away at gunpoint. The victim was forced to drive to an isolated location, where the suspect sexually assaulted her, police said. After the attack, he fled on foot. The suspect was described as being between 5 feet 6 and 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing around 170 pounds. He was clean-shaven and had wavy short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and dark pants.
