An East Palo Alto man was shot Saturday evening in the driveway of a home on Azalia Drive, according to police. East Palo Alto police were alerted to the shooting around 7:15 p.m., when the “shot spotter” system detected the sound of gunfire on the 100 block of Azalia Drive.
A 22-year-old man was found in the driveway of 124 Azalia Dr. with numerous gunshot wounds to his torso. The wounds are not considered life threatening, and he was taken to a hospital for treatment. The shooting remains under investigation and the motive is unknown.
