The Silicon Valley Internet Crimes Against Children task force arrested five Marin County residents today on suspicion of downloading child pornography. More than 70 detectives from 23 law enforcement agencies participated in today’s countywide sweep, San Rafael police officials said. Officers searched seven homes in Larkspur, Novato, Fairfax, San Rafael and unincorporated Marin County and seized computers and other evidence, police officials said.

Detectives arrested Carlos Martinez, 31, of San Rafael; Daniel Dinneen, 22, of Fairfax; Charles Brown, 48, of Bolinas; Mads Buemann, 48, of Larkspur; and a 16-year-old boy from Novato, according to police. They were arrested on suspicion of possessing child pornography. The men were booked into Marin County jail and the teenager was cited and released, police officials said.
