* Oakland robberies near Jayne Avenue and Perkins Street and Seventh Street near Chinatown

At least two separate robberies were reported in Oakland Wednesday evening, according to police. The first was a armed robbery at 5:30 p.m. near Jayne Avenue and Perkins Street. The suspect is a black man in his 20s who was seen in a teal Honda hatchback, police said. Two hours later a strong-armed robbery occurred in the 300 block of Seventh Street near Chinatown, police said. The suspect in that robbery is believed to be a black man between the ages of 25 and 29. He was wearing a black jacket and shorts and was in a black Mazda with California license plate No. 6NNC934.
