Seven people were injured in multiple shootings in Oakland Sunday afternoon, according to police. Three gunshot victims were found at a home in the 3300 block of Adeline Street shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday, including one woman, said Lt. Robert Chan.
An additional two victims dropped off at Highland Hospital later in the day may have also been connected to the shooting, but that remains under investigation, Chan said.None of the injuries were life-threatening.Earlier in the afternoon, around 3 p.m., there was a separate shooting at 59th Street and Telegraph Avenue. One male victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
A seventh shooting victim sought treatment at Highland Hospital shortly after 4 p.m., and said he was shot in West Oakland. However, Chan said there were no shots reported in that area and police are investigating whether that victim, who has been uncooperative with investigators, might be connected to one of the day’s other incidents.
