* Frank Potts killed in a shooting in Richmond on Chanslor Avenue

A man killed in a shooting in Richmond shortly before noon on Saturday has been identified by the Contra Costa County coroner’s office as 24-year-old Frank Potts Jr.Police responded to a report of gunshots in the 1700 block of Chanslor Avenue at 11:49 a.m., Lt. Shawn Pickett said.

When officers arrived they found Potts, a Richmond resident, lying in the roadway with several gunshot wounds. He was treated at the scene then transported to Kaiser Permanente Richmond Medical Center, where he died, police said. Police do not yet have any suspects in the shooting.
