A man was killed in a shooting shortly before noon in Richmond Saturday, police said. Police responded to a report of gunshots in the 1700 block of Chanslor Avenue at 11:49 a.m., Lt. Shawn Pickett said. When officers arrived they found the victim, a 22-year-old man, lying in the roadway with several gunshot wounds. He was treated at the scene before he was transported to Kaiser Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. Police do not yet have any suspects in the shooting.
