When officers responded to a report of shots fired on an Oakland street they found a man who had been shot to death Thursday night, an Oakland police officer said. Police received a call at 8:42 p.m. about shots fired in the 800 block of 26th Street, Oakland police Officer A. Frye said. Officers who responded to the area found a man on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Frye said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Frye said. No suspects are in custody and police are investigating the homicide, Frye said.
