* South San Francisco Victim Attacked in His Home by a Man Posing as Delivery Person

A South San Francisco resident was attacked in his own home by a man posing as a delivery person Tuesday morning, South San Francisco police said. The suspect rang the victim’s doorbell at the home in the 2200 block of Kenry Way just after 10 a.m. and pretended to be making a delivery, according to police.

When the victim opened the door, the suspect forced his way in, pulled a knife out and demanded money, police said. After a short struggle, the victim was able to fight off the suspect, suffering minor cuts, according to police. The suspect then fled on foot westbound on Kenry Way. Police believe he may have cut himself in the fight.

The assailant was described as a light-skinned man in his 20s, standing between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build and dark hair. He was last seen wearing a navy-colored baseball cap, black jacket and black pants, police said. The victim was treated for his injuries and released at the scene
of the incident, police said
