Mexican police officers received multiple calls from people reporting armed men a parked vehicle. When the officers arrived on scene, the suspects fled causing a police pursuit. The pursuit ended with the suspects stopping in front a house and opening fire on the officers.
The suspects forced their way into a home and beat a boy suffering from Downs Syndrome. The police officers were able to rescue the boy during the gun battle. The shootout resulted in two gunmen killed and 16 arrested. Thirteen assault rifles and commando uniforms were recovered.
