Vacaville police arrested two passengers in a stolen vehicle after a 23-mile pursuit on Thursday night. The chase began when officers attempted to stop a possibly stolen green 1994 Acura on eastbound Interstate Highway 80 near Allison Drive at 10:15 p.m. The driver accelerated away, and officers pursued the car onto Weber Road at more than 90 mph. Police continued to chase the car onto state Highway 113 toward Dixon.

Near Dixon, the car was disabled using a tire-deflating device, police said. The suspects ran from the vehicle, but police caught two and arrested them. The driver managed to escape. The two arrested were identified as Misty Ayson, 39, and Ramon Mares, 36, both Vallejo residents. Mares was arrested on suspicion of a parole violation, vehicle theft and obstructing a police officer and Ayson was arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft and possessing forged checks.
