The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office are investigating why two houses in Watsonville were shot multiple times early this morning. Deputies responded to reports of shots fired at 11240 Wood St. at about 5:10 a.m., according to the sheriff’s office. Several .40 caliber bullet casings and bullet fragments were found outside two separate homes.
Deputies also located bullet holes in one of the homes. No one was injured, according to the sheriff’s office. Witnesses were not able to provide any suspect information and a motive for the shooting had not been identified as of this afternoon. The case remains under investigation.
