San Jose State University police are searching for a man who allegedly groped a woman in a campus dormitory early this morning, a police sergeant said. Around 3:30 a.m., a man entered a dorm room and groped a woman in the Joe West dorm at 375 S. Ninth St., San Jose State police Sgt. Manuel Aguayo said.
Campus police sent out a safety alert urging all students to lock their doors and to be aware of a possible suspect in the dorm, Aguayo said.A Twitter message sent out by the university said the suspect, a man in his 20s and wearing black clothing, was last seen on the third floor of the dorm. Police responded and searched the building but did not find the suspect, Aguayo said. He said investigators have identified other possible victims in the dorm.
