* Woman Has Purse Snatched Near Balboa Park BART Station in San Francisco

A woman had her purse snatched near the Balboa Park BART station in San Francisco on Monday morning, police said. The robbery was reported at about 11:55 a.m. near San Jose and Geneva avenues.  The 24-year-old woman was walking when she felt a tug on her purse. She turned around to find a man who demanded that she let go of the purse, according to police.  The victim did so, and the suspect fled with the purse, which contained an Apple iPad and a wallet with cash and credit cards, among other items, police said. The victim was not injured in the robbery. The suspect, a man in his late 20s or early 30s, has not been found.
