Officers discovered an illegal marijuana grow in Rohnert Park Thursday afternoon when they responded to reports of a fight that ended when a man was shot with a Taser, police said. Police responded to a house in the 1300 block of Gillpepper Lane around noon. Alexander Sanders, 19, of Southern California, told officers that he got into a fight with his brother, Rohnert Park resident David Sanders, 22.

During the fight David Sanders’ roommate, 22-year-old Daniel Smith, allegedly shot Alexander Sanders with a Taser, according to police. Alexander Sanders told officers he was temporarily incapacitated before he fled the residence and called 911. Officers surrounded the home, ordered the two men to come outside and detained them as they searched the house for other people, police said. Police said the officers found an illegal marijuana grow in the house and a large amount of concentrated marijuana or hash.

Smith was arrested and booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of assault with a Taser, cultivating marijuana and maintaining a drug house, police said.
