A single gunshot was fired into a woman’s home in Half Moon Bay early Monday morning, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies went to a house in the 600 block of Grand Boulevard after a woman reported hearing the gunshot at about 4:20 a.m., according to the sheriff’s office.
She said she heard the sound of an unknown vehicle leaving the area shortly after the shot was fired, sheriff’s officials said. An investigation revealed that the bullet entered the home through a living room window, passed through a kitchen wall and into the ceiling. Family members sleeping in the residence at the time were not injured. The woman could not provide a description of any suspects and told investigators she did not know why someone would shoot into her home.
