The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in this surveillance video. According to Detective Vandegrift, on January 7, 2012, at 2:30pm, an unknown male entered Phan’s Deli located at 1542 South 6th Street and placed an item on the counter and pulled a large knife from his coat demanding money from the register. The employee handed the suspect $45 in cash and the suspect fled the store on foot south on 6th Street then west on Fernon Street.
The suspect is described as an Asian male, 20 to 30 years-of-age, 5’8, medium build, short black hair, gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, wearing light colored gloves armed with a large butcher knife.
