* Discovery Bay gas station robbed by masked armed men

A suspect armed with a handgun robbed a Discovery Bay gas station on Sunday night, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office. Around 9:55 p.m., someone wearing a black ski mask approached a cashier at the Safeway gas station in the 14800 block of state Highway 4. The robber ordered the victim to empty the register, and then fled with the cash, according to sheriff’s officials.

Sheriff’s deputies and a police K-9 unit responded and searched for the suspect, but no one was found. The suspect is described as a Hispanic or white person of unknown sex between 20 and 25 years old, standing about 5 feet 2 inches tall with a stocky build. The suspect was wearing a black jacket, black jeans, the black ski mask and black sunglasses, according to the sheriff’s office
