Mendocino Sheriff’s Department Press Release 1/9/12
On 01/04/2012 at about 1845 hrs. Mendocino County Deputies were dispatched to the Raley’s Supermarket regarding an attempted theft of merchandise.
Deputies arrived on scene and learned a male adult and a female adult attempted to steal a basket full of groceries, however were stopped by store personnel.
Deputies reviewed the store video surveillance system and observed the two suspects leave the store with the basket full of groceries without paying.
The two suspects had fled prior to the deputies arriving at the scene, however the female suspect, later identified as Mary Rabren, had left her purse in the basket full of groceries. The purse was recovered by the Deputies.
Deputies found information where the female lived and later went to her residence in Ukiah and located Suspect Mary Rabren and Suspect Sean Flinton. Both suspects were interviewed and admitted to the attempted theft of the groceries. Both Rabren and Flinton were arrested for the listed charges and incarcerated at the Mendocino County jail with bail set at $15,000.
