Photographs of man wearing a Reebok windbreaker and a Giants baseball cap were captured on a surveillance camera when he entered a Gilroy Walmart and demanded money from a cashier last Friday, police said. The suspect entered the Walmart Supercenter store, located at 7150 Camino Arroyo, around 8 p.m. and gave a cashier a note demanding money from the cash register, police said.

The employee did not see the suspect with a firearm or weapon but believed the suspect was armed based on his actions, police said. The employee gave an undisclosed amount of cash to the man who then fled and was last seen running southbound, away from the store, according to police.

Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the man who was photographed while in the store. He appears to be a white man with a goatee. He was wearing a Giants baseball hat and a black and white Reebok jacket. Police believe he is a public safety concern after robbing the store during busy retail hours, while potentially armed.
