More than 800 marijuana plants were recovered during the search of a residential home in San Leandro Tuesday, San Leandro police Lt. Jeff Tudor said. Police searched a residence in the 1500 block of Faris Street at approximately 12:15 p.m. and found more than 800 marijuana plants and 4 pounds of finished product for sale, Tudor said.

Investigators determined the residence was only being used to illegally cultivate marijuana for sale, he said. Police then searched the residence of Run Qing Chung, 42, in the 800 block of Franklin Street in Oakland where they arrested Chung and seized over $2,000 in cash and a Mercedes C320, Tudor said. The operation had the capability to grow $30,000 worth of marijuana, according to police.
