A man who entered a Korean barbecue restaurant in San Leandro Tuesday night attempted to rob the eatery at gunpoint, police said. Around 9:45 p.m. a suspect wearing dark clothing and a dark mask covering his face entered the Korean BBQ restaurant at 1292 Davis St. and pointed a shotgun at one of the employees, police said.
The suspect demanded money from the cash register and the employee opened the register but when the suspect noticed the till was empty he fled the store on foot, according to police. Police searched the area for the suspect but were unable to find him.The suspect was described as a black man in his mid-20s standing 5 feet 6 to 8 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds, police said.
