* Martin Urena Arrested for Alleged Murder of Hector Manuel Garcia in San Jose

San Jose Police Homicide detectives have arrested a suspect in the June 11th murder of Hector Manuel Garcia.  Garcia was shot in front of a residence on Nerdy Avenue in South San Jose.  Officers arrived and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  Officers and paramedics rendered first aid to Garcia and performed CPR.  However, Garcia succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators have been working the case continuously since the date of the crime.  Through multiple interviews and an examination of evidence, investigators were able to identify Martin Urena is the prime suspect in the homicide.  San Jose Homicide detectives located Suspect Urena in Los Angeles and subsequently took him into custody.

The motive and circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation.

This homicide was San Jose’s 24th homicide of the year.
