Police are seeking a man who allegedly sexually assaulted women in two different incidents in November and again on Thursday in San Francisco’s Mission District. In both cases, the victims were walking along 24th Street in the early morning hours between 3 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. when they were attacked from behind, according to police. The victims were sexually assaulted and robbed of their belongings in both incidents, which investigators believe are related.
The suspect in both cases was described as a black man in his mid 30s who is between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black hoodies and dark pants, police said. Investigators also found surveillance footage of the suspect and released a photo, and are asking the public for help in identifying him. Police also are encouraging people to remain alert to their surroundings at all times and to be careful when using electronic devices like cellphones or MP3 players in public.
