* Richard Daday identified a man who was stabbed to death in a Vallejo Elliot Frisby arrested

The Solano County coroner’s office has identified a man who was stabbed to death in a Vallejo apartment Monday as 58-year-old Richard Daday. Police were dispatched at 2:53 p.m. to an apartment in the 1600 block of Valle Vista Avenue, where they found the victim unresponsive, police said. Medical personnel were unable to revive the man, police said.

Inside the apartment, police officers detained a suspect in the stabbing, 52-year-old Elliot Frisby. Frisby was arrested and taken to the Police Department, then booked into Solano County Jail on suspicion of homicide, police said.The death marks the city’s 15th homicide of the year. An autopsy was under way this morning, according to the coroner’s office.
