A woman had her purse snatched near San Francisco’s Crocker Amazon Park on Sunday night, police said. The robbery was reported at 10:33 p.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of Geneva Avenue. The victim had parked her car and was getting out of it when a suspect approached, reached into the vehicle and told her to give him her purse, according to police.
The suspect was holding a silver object in his left hand that the victim believed to be a knife, police said. He struggled with the victim over the purse before finally yanking it away from her, then ran away into the park, according to police. The victim was not injured. Investigators have not released a detailed description of the suspect, but the victim said she believed she could recognize him again if she saw him, according to police.
