* Anthony Loza Cheerleader Coach Arrested for Alleged Child Molestation

On Sunday, December 4, 2011, the San Jose Police Department arrested Anthony Loza, 23, of San Jose, on suspicion of child molestation, perpetrated over a three month period.  During this time, Loza was employed as a cheerleader coach at Andrew Hill High School, 3200 Senter Road, in San Jose, as well as a cheerleader coach for Energy Athletics in San Jose, which holds practice at a gymnasium on the 1100 block of Felipe Avenue in San Jose.

Loza was arrested at his residence and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on sexual abuse charges, where he currently remains on $500,000.00 bail.

Although there is no indication that Loza victimized others at Andrew Hill High School or Energy Athletics, investigators urge anyone with information about this case, or anyone who was victimized by Loza, to contact Detective Lisa Tindall of the San Jose Police Department, Sexual Assaults Unit, at (408) 277-4102.
