The San Francisco Police Department’s bomb squad remained in the city’s Hunters Point neighborhood late this afternoon to examine a suspicious package that was found and reported earlier today, a police spokesman said. The discovery was reported around 1:45 p.m. at the intersection of Evans Avenue and Keith Street, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.
The bomb squad responded and has been investigating the package for more than two hours. They remained in the area but had not determined what was in the package or safely removed it as of 4:45 p.m., Esparza said. He did not yet have further information about the incident.
