A man was stabbed and robbed of his backpack in San Francisco’s Bernal Heights neighborhood early Sunday morning, police said. The stabbing was reported at about 4:40 a.m. in the 100 block of Precita Avenue. The 26-year-old victim was walking home when he was approached by a suspect who asked for a dollar, according to police.
When the victim refused, the suspect stabbed him multiple times in the chest, then took his backpack and fled with two other suspects, police said. The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, according to police. No arrests had been made in connection with the stabbing as of this morning.
