* Gil Turner arrested for alleged murder of Troy Reynolds of Antioch

Two people were shot, one fatally, within 12 hours of each other in Richmond over the weekend, Richmond police Lt. Bisa French said. Troy Reynolds, 46, of Antioch was killed at 1 p.m. Saturday after he was shot in the 800 block of Griffin Drive, French said. Police arrested 26-year-old Gil Turner in connection with the murder. The homicide is the 26th in Richmond this year, which has already exceeded the 2010 total of 21.

A security guard was shot at the Stogies’ Hookah Hut, located inside the Pacific East Mall, in the 3200 block of Pierce Street, at around 1 a.m. Sunday, French said. The suspect fled in a Lexus coupe with three other men, all believed to be in their 20s. No arrests have been made in the shooting. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
