* Man stabbed,struck by car near San Francisco’s Grace Cathedral

A man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was stabbed and hit by a car near San Francisco’s Grace Cathedral on Wednesday evening, police said. Two men were arrested in connection with the attack, which was reported at 5:47 p.m. in the 1100 block of California Street. Police said the two suspects were in a Chevy El Camino, and one of them got out and confronted the 40-year-old victim.

The victim and suspect began to fight, and during the altercation the second man in the Chevy ran over the victim with the car, police said. Officers arrived and arrested the two suspects, ages 39 and 45. Police had not released their names as of this morning. The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated, and when he arrived, hospital staff discovered he had been stabbed multiple times, police said.
