A man was seriously injured in a shooting near North Monterey County High School in unincorporated Castroville on Thursday evening, sheriff’s officials said. Deputies responded at 7:33 p.m. to a report of a vehicle blocking the roadway near the high school at 13990 Castroville Blvd., according to the sheriff’s office.
They arrived to find 27-year-old Julio Christian Serrano-Rosales inside the vehicle suffering from a serious gunshot wound, sheriff’s officials said.Serrano-Rosales was airlifted to a hospital where he remained in serious condition as of this morning. No arrests had been made in connection with the shooting and no suspect information was available as of this morning.
