A man killed in a drive-by shooting in North Richmond on Monday night has been identified as 18-year-old Oakland resident Raymone Boyd, a sheriff’s spokesman said today. Someone in a car passing by a home at West Ruby Avenue and Second Street around 8:50 p.m. Monday shot Boyd and a 19-year-old woman, Contra Costa County sheriff’s spokesman Jimmy Lee said.
The woman was taken to Doctors Medical Center in San Pablo before being flown by medical helicopter to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek where she remains today, Lee said. Lee said authorities are still trying to identify suspects in the shooting, but so far do not have any leads. “No arrests have been made and we are still trying to establish a motive,” he said.
