Police arrested three suspects in connection with a residential burglary in San Leandro Saturday morning, police said. Police responded to the 1700 block of 141st Avenue at 11:10 a.m. and a witness told officers they had heard a loud crash of glass and one of the suspects yell, “Let’s go,” before seeing a brown 1990s Ford Crown Victoria speed away from the home, police said.
As officers searched the house, Officer Dan Sellers located the suspect vehicle traveling in the area of 143rd and Wake avenues while on patrol, police said. Once police had determined a burglary occurred, Sellers followed the vehicle and waited for backup before attempting to pull the vehicle over.
The suspect vehicle passed the house and the witness identified it as the same car from the burglary, police said. Police pursued the car and made a felony car stop and arrested three suspects, identified as Patrick Jacobson, 21, of San Francisco and Oakland resident Diamond Walker, 22, along with a 17-year-old also from Oakland, police said. Officers found several items from the residence in the car. They were returned to the victim, police said.
