* La Tiendita Market Robbed in San Jose, Surveillance Photo Released

The San Jose Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in this surveillance photo. Detective Dawn Marchetti on September 11th 2011 at about 4:45 pm, a strong arm robbery occurred at 333 North 26th Street, at the La Tiendita Market. The suspect entered the store and handed the cashier some loose change. After the victim opened the cash register, the suspect allegedly struggled with the victim, pushing her back, and took money. He fled out the back of the store on foot in an unknown direction. The suspect is believed to live in the area as the victim advised that he had frequented the store numerous times prior to the robbery.
