A man robbed a Subway sandwich shop in east Santa Rosa after it closed for business Thursday night, police said. The man entered the store at 199 Yulupa Ave. around 9:50 p.m., Sgt. David Linscomb said. He pointed a handgun or simulated gun underneath his clothing at the female employee and demanded cash. The man then reached over the counter and fled out the front door with a small amount of cash, Linscomb said.
Officers searched the area but did not find the suspect, described as a thin white man with a goatee who is around 20 years old, 5 feet 6 inches and 150 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, white T-shirt and dark blue jeans, Linscomb said.
