* Woman Pepper Sprayed, Robbed While Waiting for Bus in Excelsior Neighborhood

A 55-year-old woman waiting for a bus in San Francisco’s Excelsior neighborhood was pepper-sprayed and robbed early Monday morning, police said. The robbery was reported at 6:30 a.m. at Silver Avenue and Cambridge Street. Police said a man in his 20s approached the victim from behind, pepper-sprayed her in the face, grabbed her purse and knocked her down. The robber fled and had not been found as of this morning. The victim was treated at the scene and released, police said.
