Two men were arrested in Monterey County on Saturday after being spotted in a stolen vehicle, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responding to a report of a suspicious person in Pebble Beach noticed a silver Ford Focus near the Highway 1 gate shortly before 4:30 a.m., sheriff’s officials said. The deputies checked the car’s records, learned it was stolen, and pulled the vehicle over.
They detained the car’s two occupants, Victor Hall, 36, and Victor Ramirez, 33, both of Seaside. The deputies found methamphetamine in the car, packaged as if it were intended for sale, and learned that both men were on parole, according to the sheriff’s office. Ramirez was carrying a large knife and was wanted on felony charges, sheriff’s officials said. Both men were booked into Monterey County Jail.
