Two teenage boys were arrested Halloween afternoon after officers found weapons in their car during a traffic stop in Scotts Valley, police said. The 16- and 17-year-old Scotts Valley boys were stopped around 5:20 p.m. Monday for having an expired registration. During the stop, the officer searched the vehicle and found a handgun, and the passenger had metal knuckles on him, according to police. Both boys were arrested on suspicion of possessing a prohibited weapon and carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle.They were booked into Santa Cruz County Juvenile Hall.
