* Man Injured in Shooting in San Francisco Mission District

A man was shot in the thigh in San Francisco’s Mission District on Monday afternoon, police said.  The shooting was reported at about 4:35 p.m. near 17th Street and Potrero Avenue. Police said the 29-year-old victim was approached by a belligerent suspect who shot him once in the left thigh and then fled. The victim got a ride to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said. The shooter had not been found as of this morning.
