Rohnert Park police have arrested a former Bay Area man in Las Vegas in connection with the shooting murder of a Rohnert Park man in April. Berry Lamiris Adams, 32, was arrested Tuesday with assistance from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Rohnert Park police Sgt. Jeff Nicks said.
He was arrested on a warrant for being a felon in possession of a gun, being a felon in possession of a gun causing great bodily injury and for pimping and pandering, Nicks said. Adams lived in San Francisco, Richmond, Citrus Heights and Las Vegas, Nicks said. He is suspected of killing 20-year-old Kevin Craft whose body was found in the west parking lot of the Best Western Inn at 6500 Redwood Drive in Rohnert Park around 8 a.m. on April 22, according to police.
Police received information from an unidentified woman and collected evidence from a Citrus Heights residence the day after the killing, Nicks said. Adams was seen in a video taken by a camera in a convenience store across the street from the Best Western Hotel, Nicks said. Craft was well known by employees and patrons of Innovative Screen Printing and Escape Paintball in Rohnert Park.
Adams was booked into the Clark County jail on the warrants and will be extradited to Sonoma County within the next 10 to 30 days, Nicks said.
