Three teenage boys were arrested in Redwood City on Tuesday morning after police found them out of school and in possession of stolen electronic equipment, police said. The three 15-year-old Redwood City boys were spotted by an officer around 10 a.m. near Blandford Boulevard and Turnsworth Avenue, police said.

The officer believed they were truants and approached them, and discovered that they had a laptop and other electronic equipment that had been taken from a house in the 100 block of Turnsworth Avenue, police said. When officers checked the home, they learned it had been burglarized.

Police said the boys rang the doorbell at the home, and when no one answered, they went into the backyard and climbed into the home through a window. All three were booked into the San Mateo County Juvenile Detention Center on residential burglary charges, police said.
