Two men who were helping a friend move were attacked during a robbery in the garage of a home in San Francisco’s Excelsior District on Tuesday evening, police said. The robbery was reported at 7:38 p.m. in the 500 block of Vienna Street.
The two victims, both 32, were in the garage when two suspects entered, one armed with a handgun, according to police. The armed suspect pistol-whipped one of the victims while the other punched the second victim in the face, police said.
The suspects, two men in their early 20s, left after stealing one of the men’s wallets. They had not been found as of this morning, according to police. The man struck with the handgun was taken to a hospital to be treated for broken teeth, a laceration to his head and a split lip. His injuries are not considered life-threatening, police said. The other man declined medical treatment.
