Two people were injured — one critically — in a shooting in East Oakland on Friday afternoon, just hours after a fatal shooting occurred in West Oakland, police said. The two victims were shot in the 1400 block of Seminary Avenue at about 3 p.m., Oakland police Officer Kevin McDonald said.

Both were transported to a hospital — one with minor injuries and the other with major injuries. McDonald said this morning that the victim was in critical but stable condition. No one was in custody, he said. Less than three hours earlier, a person was killed and another was injured in a shooting near the intersection of 11th and Willow streets, police spokeswoman Officer Johnna Watson said. No arrests were made in that shooting, she said.
