A Salinas teen was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter Thursday morning, police said. The crash occurred on Oct. 1 at about 10:10 p.m. near the intersection of West Rossi Street and Coit Way, according to Salinas police.Sung Kim, 46, of Marina was riding his motorcycle west on West Rossi Street when he collided with a Honda Accord, which was driven by a 17-year-old boy.
Police said the teen made an abrupt turn into Kim’s path. Kim died of his injuries the following day, according to the Monterey County coroner’s office. Officers contacted the teen at a high school Thursday at around 11:30 a.m. He was arrested and booked into juvenile hall, police said.
