A high school in Martinez was the target of a threatening email sent earlier this week that has police increasing their presence on campus today. The threat was directed to Alhambra High School in an email sent Wednesday to an employee at the Martinez Unified School District, police said. The email appears to be randomly sent to the district employee. Police have not uncovered any information that lends credibility to the threat, but are dedicating additional personnel to the campus today to ensure that students are safe.
