* San Francisco shooting at 16th and Mission streets

A man was shot in the thigh in San Francisco’s Mission District on Wednesday night, police said. The shooting was reported at about 9:20 p.m. at 16th and Mission streets. The 31-year-old victim was crossing the street and heard gunshots, then realized he had been shot, according to police. The victim, who did not see the person who shot him, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not life-threatening.
