The Contra Costa County coroner’s office has identified an Antioch man who was shot and killed Saturday as 20-year-old Dimontai Glaspie. Police found Glaspie suffering from gunshot wounds outside of a home in the 2300 block of Dogwood Way in Antioch around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
He was transported to a nearby medical center, where he was pronounced dead. Police said Sunday that they are searching for two suspects seen fleeing from the scene Saturday night. One suspect is described as a black man in his early 20s with short hair, about 6 feet tall, and weighing approximately 170 pounds.
Police described the second suspect as a black man between 18 and 22 years old, about 5 feet 7 inches or 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighing about 150 pounds. Glaspie’s murder came just 24 hours after a 36-year-old Antioch man was shot in Parkgreen Circle. The man was listed in serious condition but was expected to survive. No further information was immediately available.
